ESG I M Group Services achieves 'Committed' status in first Ecovadis sustainability assessment
We’ve achieved a strong score of 56% in our debut assessment with Ecovadis, earning us 'Committed' status and a 'Good' rating in this globally recognised sustainability evaluation.
After three successful years partnering with Sustainalytics, achieving and maintained sector-leading 'negligible risk' scores, we have moved to Ecovadis for 2025 and beyond. This change in rating provider now benchmarks M Group Services with over 150,000 organisations globally.
This move also aligns more closely with our clients' preferences and will help us develop and grow as a business.
The Ecovadis rating emphasises our ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship, social responsibility and ethical governance as we deliver essential infrastructure services across the water, energy, transport and telecommunications sectors in the UK and Ireland.
Our evaluation provides valuable insights which we’re using to refine and evolve our sustainability approach.
As a trusted employer of over 11,000 skilled specialists working from over 216 locations, we’re working to maintain our position as one of the leading ESG performers in our sector.
We're now developing an ESG strategy, using Ecovadis' feedback, focusing on enhancing our performance metrics and our positive impact on communities and the environment.
Andrew Hunt, Director of ESG and Innovation at M Group Services, said: "This transition to Ecovadis marks an exciting new chapter in our sustainability journey. We're pleased with our initial 'Good' rating, and the comprehensive assessment has highlighted specific areas where we can make meaningful improvements.
“The wide-ranging nature of the Ecovadis evaluation aligns perfectly with our ambition to embed sustainability throughout our operations and supply chain, creating lasting value for our clients, communities and the environment in which we live and work."
This rating reinforces our strong position in the UK's infrastructure services industry and supports our clients in achieving their own sustainability targets.
We’ll continue to drive down the environmental impact of our operations while ensuring our service proposition remains commercially and technically competitive.
Our continued focus on safety, service excellence, integrity, and people-centred operations continues to guide our sustainability efforts as we work toward our vision of providing essential infrastructure services for life.
