Our Ex-Armed Forces community recently attended the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) Careers Fair which took place at Leeds Football Ground. Representing M Group Services and associated businesses was Richard Nelson, Group Compliance Training Manager, Neil Walton, National Transport Manager for M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions and Chris Heaton, Senior Store Manager for Morrison Water Services’ United Utilities contract. With over 400 service personnel from across the nation attending this event, the day proved a huge success with many attendees showing a keen interest in joining M Group Services.
Neil said: “After 34 years of service, it was great to be on the other side, recruiting Armed Forces personnel. Having experienced this process myself, I know how daunting it can feel, making the transition back into civilian life. “We had many service leavers, present and future, gather to gain knowledge of how to prioritise their skill sets. We explained the process of where to find and how to apply for our current vacancies. We also had a QR which linked directly to our website that everyone found incredibly useful and practical. “Feedback from this event was hugely positive and myself, Richard and Chris thoroughly enjoyed the experience of connecting with like-minded professionals.” We would like to express our gratitude to Richard, Neil and Chris for their continuous support and we are looking to forward to the next CTP events in October and November.
