M Group Services has been awarded the Apprenticeship Programme of the Year award at this year’s Learning Awards.

The awards recognise and celebrate outstanding learning and development achievements and M Group Services picked up one of the top trophies at the Grosvenor House ceremony in London recently.

The Apprenticeship Programme of the Year Award is presented to an enterprise that has implemented any kind of Apprenticeship Programme on its own, or to a provider who produced an Apprenticeship Programme that met the needs of an industry sector or of employers.

M Group Services’ Apprenticeship Development Scheme (ADS) launched in 2019 and has provided a broad range of training for apprentices throughout our operating businesses. The ADS is delivered by the Emerging Talent Team, who have supported over 67 apprentices throughout the Group since it began. The scheme is also endorsed by Energy and Utility Skills, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

The ADS is a comprehensive learning experience which includes a Personal Development Programme, which helps create a clear development pathway for gaining new skills.

A key part of the ADS is the apprentice’s community project, which develops their project management and community engagement skills. Apprentices are assigned a mentor to support their planning, management and reporting. Save the Planet, Samaritans and LightHouse charities have all benefited from projects carried out by M Group Services apprentices.

Congratulations to everyone who played a part in this award win, in particular the Emerging Talent Team and the apprentices themselves!
