Z-Tech is an electrical, control and instrumentation (EC&I) specialist providing design, project management, commissioning, repair and maintenance services primarily to the water, energy and rail industries 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

As EC&I specialists we cover instrumentation, software engineering, electrical engineering and some mechanical and civil engineering activities. These diverse skills mean we are able to offer our customers a total solution to any problem, providing in-house services for design and delivery of projects whilst supporting day-to-day maintenance activities.

Water
FLOWMETERING
Working for the majority of UK water companies, our specialisms include: flowmetering, pressure management, burst detection, data logging, telemetry and level instrumentation.
By adding mechanical and minor civil engineering skills to our core EC&I skillsets, we have developed highly efficient, cost effective and rapid turnaround “one-stop-shop” solutions such as next day installation of large diameter flowmeters.
ATEX & ELECTRICAL SERVICES
We help our customers achieve and maintain statutory compliance in this specialist area.
With a large team of CompEx qualified staff, vast experience, the very best tools and systems we design, plan and carry out ATEX testing, inspections and remedial works. We also undertake large scale Fixed Electrical Testing (FET) inspection and remedial programmes.
Rail
Looking after critical M&E assets on rail networks in London, our customers include Transport for London, The DLR and Network Rail.
Assets we maintain and upgrade include escalator control systems, pumping systems, tunnel ventilation and complex cooling systems.
We combine our core Z-Tech skill sets together with Rail specific knowledge and training to offer a responsive and effective 24/7 maintenance solution – for both planned and reactive works.
Energy
Z-Tech serve the UK Power Generation sector with a wide range of planned and reactive EC&I maintenance services.
Environmental sustainability is core to everything we do, this can range from operating a legacy power station in the most efficient way, towards its decommissioning stage, or retrofitting new instrumentation.
Our expertise lies mainly in Instrumentation, LV electrical and PLC / SCADA systems. Typical contracts range from site-based maintenance teams on long-term frameworks, through to mobile calibration teams, tackling power station outage works or larger scale planned maintenance programmes.
